Clay Drawings (Emma's Spoon Arm)
I am deeply fascinated by the drawings created by my young son, Henri. Drawing is an innate human activity that precedes writing, serving as an early language of the developing mind. This series of clay sculptures is derived from a selection of my son’s drawings, made between the ages of four and seven.
In creating these sculptures, I felt as though I was immersing myself in his mind and creative process. I meticulously studied every nuance of the chosen drawings, using them as "blueprints" for my interpretations in clay.
This body of work was initially part of an exhibit entitled “Emma’s Spoon Arm” at the Nicolaysen Art Museum in Casper, Wyoming.
